That's what I was trying to communicate....


With prospects, a "B" guy might not seem that impressive, but with time and patience, he can AA. Penny was the perfect example of this. Freshman year, he was an awful wrestler, with a GREAT shot (which he couldn't finish). More than anything, he needed to learn how to win and beat the guys he should beat. That's why you redshirt if you can and get those wrestlers experience in open matches.

I agree with you on LaPrade, I just think he'd be more beneficial to us if we could shirt him this year. Fortunately, I don't make these decisions.
